Hello there!
My name is Troy Pheil. I am the registered owner and sole worker here at Altroent.com.
What I do here is
build web pages and I build them in support of a global grass roots movement
which has no name and no formal heirarchy. We are simply individuals who's aim is
to provide the people with as a wide a range of information as is possible and to provide the information as quickly as possible.
We all do this because we find active learning and self-education hass become a civic duty and an imperative steward responsibility.
As citizens we must all learn and we must all learn quickly.
We must learn and educate ourselves about many matters which were once considered outside the scope of interest, as unessential,
and as potentially dangerous if the 'rabble' were to possess.
I contend it is only by setting out on an earnest, global quest for information and for self-education that we,
the people, will ever grasp firmly ahold of political power. Thomas Jefferson
one of the founders of american democracy and american idealism said his goal was an enlightened citizenry,
a citixenry which is "... educated sufficiently to enable them to exercise oversight."

Just give me money!
Being an internet webmaster here at the dawn of the 21st Century has been pretty darn rewarding
in the sense it has allowed me to indulge two of my higher motivations
- artistic expression
- social activism.
Yet, there is a stronger, lower and more primative motivation;
the constant modern day hunger and need for money.
Money is food. Money is shelter. Money is security
Money is transportation.
Money is sex appeal.
Money is power.

It's Money That Matters
for the cause. Gotta keep
doing it for the cause ...
Randy
Newman
In the song on the right
Randy Newman sings this:
' ... in any fair system they
would flourish and thrive. Yet, they eek out a living. They barely
survive.'
And, I guess you know who 'they' are that Randy is refering to. Right?
'They' are the people like you and I. The Rabble.
We should have reaped more
by now from multiple harvests of promise that were and are the industrial,
technological and digital revolutions.
Instead the benefits have gone to multinational corporations, global trade
and financial organizations, wars large and small in all areas of the world and
the militarization of the police. These are they who, along with all their greedy and/or
ill-informed devotees and supporters, have stolen our wealth.

What I have in mind here is
to build a
better tomorrow. For myself. For my family and for the whole planet actually.
I know. That's kinda grandeous, huh?
Yet, this vision I follow is succinctly summed up in the lyrics of the
music video 'Democracy' on the right.
I could never hope to express the depth of this thought so briefly as
Leonard Cohen
has. I find his sentiments inspirational and I want to share them with you.

'I can't tell you what to do
Like everybody else I'm searching thru
what I've heard' Cat Stevens
What I do have is 3 pretty good rules to follow:
- work hard
- never lose faith in the miraculous
- expect the unexpected
Is this a plan that is assured to take me/us into the great
and
shining 'better tomorrow' I envision?
Maybe. Maybe not.
How really could I know?
As the saying goes:
You wanna move a mountain, brother?
Pick up a shovel.
